Tencent Translation API

1. Apply for a free API

Open the Tencent Machine Translation Console at https://console.cloud.tencent.com/tmt. If you are not logged in, you will be redirected to the login page. After logging in, reopen the page, agree to the pop-up agreement, and you can use it for free. It offers 5 million characters per month for free, which is 100 times more than Baidu's limit.

2. Create AppID and Secret Key

After completing the first step, go to this address: https://console.cloud.tencent.com/cam/capi.

Click "Continue to Use."

On this page, click "Create Secret Key" to automatically generate a pair of ID and secret key.

Copy the SecretId and SecretKey.

Fill them into the Settings menu under Tencent Translation Settings.

Important Notes:

Most AI translation services may impose limits on the number of requests per minute. If you encounter an error indicating that the request frequency is exceeded, you can set a delay in seconds via the software's Menu > Tools/Advanced Settings > Advanced Settings/set.ini > Post-Translation Pause Time. For example, set it to 30, meaning wait 30 seconds after each translation before proceeding to the next one, to avoid exceeding the rate limit and causing errors.
