Selecting a Voice

Elevenlabs has thousands of voices; about ten are available for free by default. You can also create your own voices.

https://elevenlabs.io/app/voice-lab

On this page, you can select the voice you want and click +Add to add it to your voice list. Note that free accounts can only add a maximum of 3 voices. After adding, update the roles in your video translation software's TTS settings.

Creating a New Custom Voice

If you don't find the voice you want, you can create a new custom voice.

image.png

As shown above, clicking will bring up a customization box. Enter your voice requirements in the top box and the text to be read in the bottom box.

Cloning Voice

Selecting "clone" in the voice roles means using the original voice from the video. However, this function requires a paid Elevenlabs.io membership; otherwise, it will cause errors.

To use this feature, you can upgrade your account here: https://elevenlabs.io/app/subscription

You can also try this feature (upload video) on their website; it's free, but the generated result will have a watermark.

Updating the Voice List in Video Translation Software

After adding or removing voices in Elevenlabs.io, you need to update the voice list in your video translation software.

  1. Open Menu--TTS Settings--Elevenlabs.io, click "Test" and update voices. Wait, if no errors occur, save.
  2. Go to the main software interface. If the current dubbing channel is not Elevenlabs.io, switch to Elevenlabs.io. If it already is, switch to another channel, then switch back.
